TODAY'S SCRIPTURE "But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them." (Hebrews 7:24-25)
TODAY'S WORD , have you ever had someone say to you, "The Lord has really laid you on my heart lately; I have really been praying for you"? Or perhaps someone said, "You know, I have really been thinking about you a lot in the last few days." If that person is someone important to you, that is a significant statement. The very thought of them thinking about you and praying for you more than likely warmed your heart.
If that's the case, I have some good news for you. The Creator of the universe, the Almighty God, who knows every star by name, who has the hairs on our heads numbered, and knows every thought we think, prays for us and thinks about us.
You might ask, "What? Jesus is praying for me?" In a sense, He is. The fact of the matter is right now Jesus Christ is interceding for each of us in heaven. Hebrews 7:25 tells us that Jesus "is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them." The Apostle Paul said in Romans 9:34, "Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us."
No matter what circumstances you may be facing, take heart in the fact that Jesus is praying for you. He is pulling for you. He is interceding for you.
A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; Unite my heart to fear your name. I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify your name forever more. Great is your mercy toward me, and You have delivered my soul from the depths of hell. All praise be to You, Oh God my Redeemer, today and forever, Amen. |
