Receive God's Mercy Today's Devotional Reading: Judges 9,10; Psalm 49; 1 Cor. 16 March 31, 2011 By reading the scripture above each day you will read the Old Testament through in one year and the New Testament through twice in a year. This will change your life. Start Today! TODAY'S SCRIPTURE    "People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy" (Proverbs 28:13, NLT). TODAY'S WORD    so many people today go around feeling guilty and condemned. They´re always praying, "Please God, forgive me for that mistake I made. Please God, I´m just so sorry." It seems that every day they are begging God to forgive them for something they did a year ago. We have to understand that God forgives us the very first time we ask. It´s up to us to receive that forgiveness. We have to receive His mercy. We aren´t meant to go through life feeling guilty and condemned, trying to pay God back for all the mistakes we ever made. , as soon as you come to God with an open and humble heart, He washes you clean. Because of His great mercy, He makes you worthy to be His child, His friend, His ambassador in the earth. Romans 8 tells us that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Shake off condemnation and boldly declare, "God approves me. God is pleased with me. I am accepted. I am forgiven. I´ve been made worthy." Receive His forgiveness and mercy by faith today so that you can move forward into the abundant life He has for you.   A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY  Heavenly Father, today I choose to receive Your mercy and forgiveness. Thank You for cleansing me of all unrighteousness. Thank You for making me new. I love You and bless Your holy Name. In Jesus´ Name. Amen. We sure love you! Learning to Receive Today's Devotional Reading: Judges 8; Psalm 42; I Cor. 15 March 30, 2011 By reading the scripture above each day you will read the Old Testament through in one year and the New Testament through twice in a year. This will change your life. Start Today! TODAY'S SCRIPTURE    "Why am I discouraged? Why so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again - my Savior and my God!." (Psalm 42:11 NLT). TODAY'S WORD    all through the Bible, there are so many promises of what God has already done for us. It says in Ephesians that "God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing." It says in Colossians that "God has made us worthy." There is mercy for any mistake we will ever make. It´s already been taken care of. He paid the ultimate price through the death, burial, and resurrection of His Son, Jesus. He´s done His part. Now it´s up to us to do our part. We have to start believing it so we can receive it. In the natural, when someone gives you a gift, what´s the first thing you usually say? "Thank you." When you give thanks, it´s a sign that you are receiving the gift. Today, start receiving what God has given you by saying, "Father, thank You for Your mercy. Thank You for supplying all my needs. Thank You for Your goodness in my life."   As you learn to give Him thanks, you are learning to receive from Him. Open your heart by faith today and thank Him for all the blessings He has prepared for you!   A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY  Father God, I come to You today giving You thanks and praise for Your faithfulness in my life. I choose to receive Your Word which is life and strength to my soul. Help me to keep my heart focused on You. In Jesus´ Name. Amen. We sure love you! TODAY'S WORD    God has given you all power and authority to overcome every obstacle you may face in life! That means you are well able to do what God has called you to do. You can accomplish your goals. You have the ideas, the creativity, and the talent to be successful. You have been armed with strength for every battle! God has already lined up the right people to come across your path. He´s already lined up the right opportunities. You have everything you need to live a victorious life. Not an average life, not a barely-get-by, mediocre life-you were created to excel. You have seeds of greatness on the inside. You may not have seen it in the past, but if you´ll stay in faith, it´s just a matter of time-victory is on the way. Don´t settle where you are. Rise up in faith today and begin to declare, "I will accomplish my dreams. I can overcome any obstacle. I´ve been equipped and empowered to live in victory in every area of my life."   A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY  Heavenly Father, thank You for the power to overcome every obstacle I may face.
