Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric & Rita - Enlarge Your Territory

Enlarge Your Territory

Today's Devotional Reading: Amos 7-9; Ps. 104; Titus 2
June 30, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory..." (I Chronicles 4:10).

TODAY'S WORD
God wants to bless you and enlarge your territory. Your territory can be your sphere of influence or your realm of responsibility or authority. Are you ready for increase in your life today? You may desire God's increase, but the Bible says we have not because we ask not. Are you asking for God's blessing? Are you asking Him to enlarge your territory? When you ask God to bless you, your faith is activated which opens the door for Him to work in your life. Open your heart today and ask for God's blessing, ask for His discernment and wisdom. Ask Him to make you more effective on your job; ask Him to increase the quality of your relationships; ask for more people to love and encourage. Ask Him to enlarge your territory so that you can be a greater blessing to those around you. As you take a step of faith in prayer today, God will hear you. He'll open doors that no man can close and pour out His abundance in every area of your life!

A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY

Father in heaven, today I open my heart to You and ask You to bless me. I ask You to increase me in every area and teach me to be faithful to You always. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric & Rita - The Apple of His Eye

The Apple of His Eye

Today's Devotional Reading: Amos 4-6; Ps. 86,87; Titus 1
June 29, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"Keep me as the apple of your eye..." (Psalm 17:8).

TODAY'S WORD
God cherishes and values you so much today. You are the apple of His eye; the center of His world! In this day and age, people are considered to be important for so many different reasons-titles, position, possessions, where you go, what you drive. But God's value system is very different from the value system of the world. If you've ever thought that God has too many other important things on His plate to be concerned with you and your life, know this today-you are God's number one priority. And there's nothing you can do to be more important or less important. God values you today simply because He made you, and your value will never change. You are significant. Your life is significant. The things that concern you, concern God. He carefully watches over every detail of your life, and there is nothing too big or too small for His attention. Take your concerns and cares to the Father today. He loves to hear you call upon Him, and He is waiting to show Himself strong on your behalf. Because you are important to Him, He is ready to bless and empower you to live in victory all the days of your life.

A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY

Father in heaven, thank You for loving me today. Thank You for making me the apple of Your eye. I open my heart to You today and cast every care on You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric & Rita - According to Your Faith

According to Your Faith

Today's Devotional Reading: Amos 1-3; Ps. 80; 2 Tim 4.
June 28, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"According to Your faith, be it unto you" (Matthew 9:29).

TODAY'S WORD
A lot of time people think that when they have a need, that if God wanted to, He could just automatically meet it. But Jesus didn't say, according to your need be it unto you; He said, according to your faith. That's why it's so important to have an attitude of expectancy every single day. If we want God to move in our lives, we have to approach every day filled with faith and hope. The scripture tells us in Romans that "faith comes by hearing the Word of God." The more you have the Word of God in your life, the more your faith will grow and the more you will see Him working in your life.

Every morning we send out these devotionals to you. At the top is the daily scripture reading. If you follow this reading plan you'll have read the New Testament twice in a year and the Old Testament once. This puts the Word in you ever day. It takes about 30 minutes out of your day, but what you will receive is far greater.

God longs to bless you, and He's given you everything you need to be successful in life. Remember, all things are possible to those who believe! Believe in His goodness today and take a step of faith toward the life of blessing God has prepared for you!

A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY

Father, thank You for Your hand of blessing in my life today. I open my heart to You and trust that You have a good plan for me. Give me a heart filled with faith and hope today. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric & Rita - Ask

 Ask

Today's Devotional Reading: 2 Ki. 13,14; 2 Chr. 25; 2 Tim 3
June 27, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" (Matthew 7:7).

TODAY'S WORD
Is there an area of your life that you need God's help in? A lot of times, it's easy to think that we're not supposed to ask for too much, but the scripture encourages us to go to God with all of our needs. He longs to give you the desires of your heart and pour out His favor and blessing on you. In fact, Jesus said, "You have not, because you ask not." When you step out and ask for God's favor, His blessings and His increase, you are activating your faith. And when you pray, make sure there isn't anything in your heart that would block your faith. Begin your prayers by surrendering every thought and attitude to the Lord. Ask Him to purify your motives and show you if there is any unforgiveness in your life. When you release those things to the Lord, it opens the door for Him to move mightily on your behalf, and you will move forward into the life of blessing He has in store for you!

A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY

Father in heaven, I humbly come to You and surrender all that I am. I ask that You pour out Your favor and blessing on me so that I can be a greater blessing to others. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric & Rita - Higher Thoughts

Higher Thoughts
Today's Devotional Reading: Jon. 1-4; 2 Tim. 2
June 26, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts" (Isaiah 55:9).

TODAY'S WORD

God's dream for your life is so much bigger than your own! He wants to bless you indeed and enlarge your territory. His ways and thoughts are so much higher than ours, and His plan is so much bigger than we can imagine. Choose today to focus on the good things God has in store for you. Beverly don't allow the circumstances of life to drag your thoughts down. Choose to think God's thoughts by meditating on His Word. The scripture says to "set your mind on things above." Those "things above" are God's thoughts and ways which are, "I am blessed and highly favored. I am above only and not beneath. I am the head and not the tail. I am a victor, not a victim. I am righteous, and my path shines brighter and brighter to the full day. I am more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus." When you allow those higher thoughts to fill your mind, they will direct your steps, and you will rise higher in life! You will see yourself as an overcomer and live the abundant life the Lord has for you..

A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY

Father in heaven, thank You for thinking good thoughts about me. Help me to focus on Your higher thoughts today. Empower me to obey Your Word so that I can live as an overcomer in every area of life. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric & Rita - Stepping Stones Take Us Closer To God

Stepping Stones Take Us Closer To God
Today's Devotional Reading: Joel 1-3; 2 Tim. 1
June 25, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"I will restore the years that the locust has eaten and I will bring you out with plenty and you shall be satisfied." (Joel 2:25)

TODAY'S WORD

God wants you to live a satisfied life. He has promised to restore all the things that the enemy has stolen. However, just because God gives us this great promise, doesn't mean it will automatically come to pass. We've got to do our part, and develop a restoration mentality. We must expect things to change in our favor. We must be strong-willed and determined, and do everything we can to recover what the enemy has stolen from us. Remember, obstacles are simply opportunities for advancement. If you'll do your part to have a restoration mentality, God will take every obstacle that comes into your life and turn it into a stepping-stone that will take you to a place of higher honor and greater blessing.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

God, help me develop an attitude of hopeful expectancy. I know that You only want the best for me and that sometimes means learning to be strong even through hard times. Regardless of my circumstances, please remind me to be patient and to wait for You to reveal the perfect plan You have for my life. I want to have a "restoration mentality!" In Jesus' name - Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric & Rita - Confess and Believe

Confess and Believe

Today's Devotional Reading: 2 Ki. 11,12; 2 Chr. 24; 1 Tim. 6
June 24, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

TODAY'S WORD

Salvation comes when you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that He was raised from the dead. In the same way, God's Word becomes alive in our hearts when we confess and believe it. What are you confessing today? What are you saying about your situation? Are you confessing the Word and believing that God is at work behind the scenes? Or do you talk about your problems and always believe the worst. What ever you confess and put your faith in will come to pass in your life. If you've been saying the wrong things, simply repent today which literally means to turn around. You can turn around and start confessing and believing the Word. Don't just let your mind and mouth wander any longer. Write down some scripture verses and take them with you. Be determined to speak the Word. As you allow His truth to sink down into your heart, you'll find His salvation and victory in every area of your life.

A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY

Father in heaven, today I repent for anything that I've been confessing that isn't pleasing to You. I choose today to keep my mind and heart focused on Your Word. Make Your truth real to me today. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric & Rita - Crowned with Goodness

 Crowned with Goodness

Today's Devotional Reading: 2 Ki. 10; 2 Chr. 22,23; 1 Tim 5
June 23, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"You crown the year with Your bounty and goodness..." (Psalm 65:11, AMP)

TODAY'S WORD

The Lord has crowned your year with bounty and goodness! That means there is an abundant supply for whatever you may need in life-spiritually, physically, emotionally and financially. And God has set up a system so that you can access His blessings. It's the system of seed-time and harvest. If you have a need in your life, sow a seed. If you need friends, sow a seed by being a friend to someone. If you have a financial need, pray and ask the Lord where you should sow a financial seed. The Bible says to give and it shall be given unto you, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. That's God crowning your year with bounty and goodness. Do you need mercy? Sow seeds of mercy. The more you sow, the more you will reap a harvest from God's abundant bounty. Remember, He's already crowned your year with His goodness. Take a step of faith today and believe that God is ready to pour out His abundant blessing on you all the days of your life.

A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY

Heavenly Father, thank You for supplying all my needs according to Your riches in glory. I submit my resources to You today and ask You to show me where I can sow seeds and be a blessing to those around me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric & Rita - Increase More

 Increase More
Today's Devotional Reading: 2 Ki. 8,9; 2 Chr. 21; 1 Tim. 4
June 22, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"There are those who scatter abroad, yet increase more..."(Proverbs 11:24).

TODAY'S WORD

In the book of Genesis, God set up a system of seedtime and harvest. Everything God does starts with a seed. The Bible also tells us that He gives seed to the sower. In other words, if you are a person who has a desire to bless others and sow seed, God will make sure you have plenty to give. Notice what happens when you generously sow seed-you increase more! Just like planting a seed in the natural brings an abundant harvest, planting a spiritual seed brings an abundant harvest as well. You can't out give God! He will pour out blessings on you that you can barely contain! God's blessings go way beyond just the financial realm. He wants you to have blessed relationships, good health and a happy career. Take a step of faith today and look for ways to start sowing. What do you have in your hand? Can you start by giving a smile and sowing joy? Do you have five dollars to help someone else at the gas pump? Choose to be blessing today, and God promises to bless and increase you in every area of your life.

A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY

Father God, today I choose to be a sower and giver. Help me to see the people around me the way You see them so that I can bless them the way You want to bless them. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric & Rita - Worry or Worship

 Worry or Worship

Today's Devotional Reading: 2 Ki. 6,7; 2 Chr. 20; 1 Tim 3
June 21, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"We have no power against this large army that is attacking us. We don't know what to do, so we look to You for help." (2 Chronicles 20:12)

TODAY'S WORD

The enemy would love to get you worrying instead of worshiping God. When the devil brings you thoughts of worry, anxiety and fear, let them be a reminder for you to thank God that His answer is on the way. Say, "Devil, thank you for reminding me," and then say, "Father, I thank You that You are at work on my behalf." That's what King Jehoshaphat did. The people of Judah were surrounded by three major armies. It didn't look like they had a chance. This godly king was probably bombarded with thoughts of fear and anxiety. But he gathered the people together, lifted his eyes toward heaven, and prayed the simple prayer in today's verse. Jehoshaphat's prayer was answered. God told the people to march right in to the enemy's camp, singing and shouting praises on their way. Notice, they weren't worrying-they were worshiping-and God delivered them. Do you need a victory in your life? Then learn to worship instead of worry!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

God, You are truly the great God who is the Provider of everything we need, and much more. I want to be a worshiper instead of a worrier, so today I claim Your promise of deliverance from thoughts of fear or anxiety. Thank You for giving me the victory. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric & Rita - Fathers are Special

 Fathers are Special

Today's Devotional Reading: 1 Ki. 4,5; Ps. 83; 1 Tim. 2
June 20, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"The glory of children are their fathers." (Proverbs 17:6).

TODAY'S WORD

A father's job is a lot more complicated today than it was for previous generations of dads. Instead today's father is expected to be right there in the delivery room, and more often than not, he's helping to guide his newborn into the world and cut the cord that connects mother and child.

The job that begins in the delivery room is one that continues throughout a child's life. The father's role, whether his child is a toddler or a teenager, is to encourage that tentative youngster to stretch his abilities. He is both teacher and coach to his young ones as they mature and take their first wobbly steps into a world filled with many challenges.

If you are fortunate enough to be able to talk to your father, thank him today for what he has meant to your life. If your father is no longer living, then thank your Heavenly Father that you had a dad who cared about you. Or, you may have painful memories and we pray that today you will be able to let go of that hurt.

A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY

Dear Father in heaven, today is a special day for families. You ask that we honor our fathers and I want to start with You. Thank You for sending Your son and for being the ultimate example of what a father should be: compassionate, caring, strong, and wise. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotion from Pastor Eric & Rita - He Delights in Your Prosperity

He Delights in Your Prosperity

Today's Devotional Reading: 2 Ki. 1-3; Ps. 82; 1 Tim. 1
June 19, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"Let the Lord be magnified Who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant" (Psalm 35:27).

TODAY'S WORD
Our God is a running-over God! He doesn't want you to just have barely enough to meet your own needs, God wants you to be so blessed that when other people get around you, it overflows onto them! He wants you to be so blessed in your finances that not only can you pay your bills and accomplish your own dreams, but you can be a blessing to others. In the same way that a parent loves to see their children doing well and excelling, God wants you to do well and excel in every area. He takes pleasure in prospering you. But the key is that you have to make room for it in your thinking. You have to expect that He wants to bless you. Take a step of faith today toward the dreams that are in your heart. Begin to thank Him for His abundance in every area of your life. Declare that because you walk in obedience, God's blessings are going to chase you down and overtake you! Don't just settle for a "good enough" mentality, develop an overflow mentality, and you'll see God's hand of blessing in every area of your life!

A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY

Heavenly Father, today I surrender my thoughts to You. Develop in me an overflow mentality and teach me to be a blessing to others. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotions from Pastor Eric & Rita - Look Beyond Your Limitations

 Look Beyond Your Limitations

Today's Devotional Reading: 1 Ki. 22; 2 Chr. 18,19; Col 4
June 18, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about His mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains" (Colossians 4:3, NLT)

TODAY'S WORD

Did you know that when Paul wrote this verse, he was in chains and in prison? He was arrested for preaching the gospel. Everything in his surroundings shouted "limitations," but instead of looking at his surroundings, Paul kept his eyes on the limitless God. He kept looking for the open door of opportunity that God would have for him next.

No matter what "chains" you may feel like you are in today, remember, we serve a God who's in the business of setting people free, and He has equipped you with His power. When doors look closed all around you, when your surroundings look limited, when you feel like you're in chains, remember, God is still at work. He's promised to walk with you all the days of your life. Keep your hopes up. Keep expecting. Keep believing. Like Paul, pray for those opportunities to be opened to you. If you fall, get right back up and press forward with even greater determination because He promises to break the chains and open doors of opportunity in your life.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, I choose to take my eyes off my surroundings and focus on You. I choose to focus on the passion and dream You've placed in my heart. I trust that You are working behind the scenes, opening doors of opportunity. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric & Rita - Love The Job You're In!

Love The Job You're In!

Today's Devotional Reading: 1 Kings 20,21; 2 Chr. 17; Col 3
June 17, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people." (Colossians 3:23)

TODAY'S WORD
Some people think that loving their work means they won't have to work hard, or that they won't have frustrations. No, those things are all a part of life. But ultimately, God can help you enjoy what you're doing. When you're in God's will, there will be a joy on the inside and in your spirit, you will feel a sense of accomplishment. When you're serving in your purpose, you will be fulfilled and enjoy your life. You'll live the best life that God intended for you - and He'll take you places that you've never even dreamed of! You'll experience the abundant life He has in store. Our deepest desire for you is that you discover and follow God's perfect will - knowing your calling, so that one day you can look back and say, "This is why God put me here."

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

God, I want to thank You today for giving me meaningful and fulfilling work to do. Help me to see Your ultimate purpose and experience Your joy in even the most ordinary aspects of my work. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric & Rita -- Treasure the Word

Treasure the Word

Today's Devotional Reading: 1 Ki. 17-19; Col 2
June 16, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"But he who keeps (treasures) His Word [who bears in mind His precepts, who observes His message in its entirety], truly in him has the love of and for God ..." (I John 2:5).

TODAY'S WORD

How much do you treasure the Word in your life? When you treasure something, it's valuable to you. You handle it carefully and protect it. When you treasure a person or relationship, you give attention to them and think about them constantly! When you treasure the Word of God, you are expressing your love for Him. You treasure the Word by meditating on it or thinking about it all throughout the day. Remember, your life will go in the direction of your most dominant thoughts. When your dominant thoughts are the Word of God, you will be empowered to follow and obey His Word. Make God's Word a priority in your life today and allow it to shape your thinking. Choose to treasure the Word today and everyday and you will be empowered to move forward into the abundant life He has for you!

A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY

Father in Heaven, today I choose to focus my thoughts on You. I choose to treasure Your Word so that my actions will show how much I love You. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotion from Pastor Eric & Rita --When the Spirit Moves You-Move!

 When the Spirit Moves You-Move!

Today's Devotional Reading: 1 Ki. 15; 2 Chr. 13, 14; Phil. 4
June 14, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13)

TODAY'S WORD

Have you ever thought about giving someone a compliment and just didn't do it? Perhaps you have put off writing that special thank-you note? Maybe you've resisted the "feeling" you've had about visiting the doctor or starting that exercise program. There are many reasons why we neglect doing the things that we know we should do. Maybe we don't think they are necessary, or we are just too busy and don't want to take the time.

Every time we hear that prompting from the Holy Spirit, the devil loves to whisper in our ear, "you can't do that," "you're too busy," "people don't care what you think." Let me encourage you to stop believing the lies of the enemy!

Philippians 4:13 declares, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." With Jesus' help, you can do anything. Don't put off doing the things you know the Lord has instructed you to do. When you do your part and step out in faith, God will do His. As you are obedient, God will pour out his blessings and favor on you and you will experience the abundant life He has for those who trust Him.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

I want to be still and listen to You. I will put aside all the distractions so that I am able to hear the whispers of the Holy Spirit inside me. Lead me to step out in faith today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric & Rita: The Best is Yet to Come

The Best is Yet to Come

Today's Devotional Reading: 1 Ki. 13,14; 2 Chr. 12; Phil. 3
June 13, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"...but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:13-14)

TODAY'S WORD

One of the main keys to overcoming the disappointments in life is learning to let go of the past. When you let go of the past, you begin to experience the bright future God has in store for you. Don't let the regrets of yesterday destroy the hopes of tomorrow. No matter what has happened in the past, God is a God of restoration, and He will restore what the enemy has stolen from you.

Let me encourage you to accept God's mercy and forgiveness, and look forward to the wonderful plan He has for your future. As you press on and seek Him daily, you will live in victory!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

God, help me to let go of the past. Your Son lived so that my sin could die, so let me leave it behind me and instead focus on the plan You have for my future. Your mercy is perfect. Thank you for giving me a clean slate. In Jesus' name - Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotion with Pastor Eric & Rita: Choose Peace

Choose Peace

Today's Devotional Reading: 1 Ki. 12; 2 Chr. 10, 11; Phil. 2
June 12, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14).

TODAY'S WORD

Holiness is so important to God. The Bible says that holiness is the key to seeing the Lord. When you obey the Word of God and allow Him to work in your life, you are pursuing holiness. You will see the Lord working in your life. Notice this verse starts by saying that we should live at peace with the people around us. When we have peace in our lives, in our homes, and in our relationships, it opens the door for God to work. But when we have strife, bitterness, anger or resentment in our relationships, it blocks God's blessing. Remember, when it comes to disagreements in relationships, it doesn't always matter who is right, it matters what is right. And choosing peace is right. Is there someone in your life today that you need to restore peace with? A simple act of kindness, a note or small gift, can open the door for restoration in your relationships. Step out today and let the peace create a foundation for the blessing God has in store for you!

A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY

Father in Heaven, today I open my heart to You. I choose Your way of peace. Show me how to live at peace with the people in my life so that I can honor You in everything I do. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric & Rita

See Yourself as God Sees You!
Today's Devotional Reading: Song 5-8; Phil. 1

June 11, 2010
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"Be confident in this: He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it in you." (Philippians 1:6)

TODAY'S WORD

Do you have a vision of victory for your life? Do you know that God desires to do great and mighty things in your life? But in order to fulfill God's plan, you must first see yourself the way God sees you -- growing and prosperous in every area.

Where you are in life today is a direct reflection of your past thoughts about yourself. You are not able to rise above your own self-image. But no matter what your current situation, you can change your self-image by meditating on God's Word and spending time with Him.

Begin today to see yourself the way God sees you. He sees you as an overcomer, more than a conqueror, and a champion in life. He sees you as the head, and not the tail. He sees you above, and not beneath. He sees you growing and excelling, and living a life of victory!

As you begin to change your self image and see yourself living the life God has for you, you will experience His fulfillment, peace, and power.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

God, I was made in Your image and that means I am a conqueror and can do all things! Thank you for Your confidence in me. I am going to stay focused on Your loving plan for my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
We sure love you!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric & Rita

Invest in Yourself
Today's Devotional Reading: Song 1-4; Eph. 6

June 10, 2010
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"...they have made me a keeper of vineyards, but my own vineyard I have not kept." Song of Solomon 1:6

TODAY'S WORD

Living a balanced life brings peace, joy, and health to every area of your life. When you are out of balance in your life, you open a door to the enemy. If you're always on the go, constantly working, and never take time for yourself, you will end up stressed out and overwhelmed, and you won't be able to enjoy life the way that God intended.

Solomon was good at taking care of everyone else-his family, his friends, his work. He made sure everyone else was happy, but in doing that, he neglected to take care of himself. Are you living like that today? Do you spend all your time on other people, but not any on yourself? Eventually you will burn out and you won't be able to reach out to others. Decide today to begin investing in yourself. Take time to relax and rejuvenate yourself. When you are refreshed emotionally, physically, and spiritually, you are able to give to others more effectively. As you bring balance to your life, you will begin to enjoy life to the fullest.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

God, my plate is full. I spend much of my time running, serving, doing. Remind me that it is OK to slow down and enjoy a quiet moment with You. Refresh my spirit and help me to live a balanced life with You at the top of my To-Do list. In Jesus' name - Amen.
We sure love you!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric & Rita: A Vision of Victory

A Vision of Victory
Today's Devotional Reading: Ecc. 10-12; Ps. 94; Eph. 5
June 9, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"Sow your seed in the morning, and do not be idle in the evening, for you do not know whether morning or evening sowing will succeed, or whether both of them alike will be good." (Ecclesiastes 11:6)

TODAY'S WORD

Are you a dreamer? We are, but we are also "doers." If we are to accomplish God's best in our life, we have to be both. You need to dream big dreams and have what we call a vision of victory for your life, but you also have to put your faith into action. The Bible tells us "faith without works is dead."

If you are believing for a promotion at work, then you need to be the hardest most diligent worker there. If your dream is to be debt-free, then you are going to have to be careful how you spend and manage your money. If you are believing for a better marriage relationship, then sometimes you will have to give up your need to be right.

In whatever area of life you need an extra helping of God's blessings, continue to sow those seeds of encouragement, hope, faithfulness and live a disciplined life. When you are faithful in doing what you know to be right, God will reward your diligence and you will reap a harvest of victory.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

God, I am faithful in prayer and continue to strive to be a proactive Christian! Thank you for giving me the courage and the will to make the necessary changes that will help my dreams come true. In Jesus' name, Amen.
We sure love you!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric & Rita: Words can pollute or purify

 Words can pollute or purify

Today's Devotional Reading: Ecc. 7-9; Eph. 4

June 8, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"Let no foul or polluting language come out of your mouth." (Ephesians 4:29)

TODAY'S WORD

Your words have the power to pollute or purify. If you constantly complain, you release poison into your life. Complaining is not based on your circumstances, it's based on the attitude of your heart. If you will keep the right attitude during your time of adversity, God will honor you. When you truly trust God there are times you will have unanswered questions -- don't let that keep you from fulfilling your destiny.

When you have a heart full of gratitude, it leaves no room for complaining. You can always find something to thank God for, no matter what kind of adversity you may face in life. So decide today to live a life of thanksgiving! Don't allow the poison of complaining to prevent you from receiving all God has for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

God, I confess that I don't always keep a positive attitude; I let negative words poison me and those around me. Please forgive me and help me to be joyful and thankful in every situation. I want to look on the bright side of the victorious life you so generously planned for me. In Jesus' name - Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotion from Pastor Eric & Rita - Be Protective about Happiness

Be Proactive about Happiness
Today's Devotional Reading: Ecc. 4-6; Ps. 18; Eph. 3
June 7, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"This is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it." (Psalm 18:24)

TODAY'S WORD

Did you make up your mind to be happy this morning? It's important to be on the offensive when it comes to your happiness. If you don't set the tone early in the day, the enemy will start reminding you of all your problems and of everything wrong in your life. Before long, you'll be negative and discouraged.

Notice that the Bible doesn't say, "I might be glad today if everything goes well. If I don't get stuck in traffic, or if my boss doesn't yell at me, or if it doesn't rain on my new hairdo." No, the Psalmist said, "I will rejoice and be glad." No matter what kind of difficulties I face today - no matter who tries to make me upset - I choose to be happy. Never forget that although you might not be able to choose your circumstances, you can always choose how you respond to them.

If you'll make the decision to stay full of joy, if you'll choose to be happy in spite of your circumstances, the enemy can't keep you down and defeated. God will give you supernatural strength to overcome every obstacle you face. And you'll live that life of overcoming victory He has in store for you.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Thank you, Father, for this day. I will take time to smile and to laugh today. Starting tomorrow, I want to get up every morning and declare out loud: This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it! In Jesus' name, Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotion from Pastor Eric & Rita - Keep the Truth

Keep the Truth
Today's Devotional Reading: Ecc 1-3; Ps 45; Eph 2.
June 6, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"Guard and keep [with the greatest care] the precious and excellently adapted [Truth] which has been entrusted [to you], by the [help of the] Holy Spirit Who makes His home in us." 2 Timothy 1:14 (Amplified)

TODAY'S WORD

The Truth of God's Word is a precious treasure entrusted to us. It empowers us to overcome every obstacle. It's important to keep this Truth in your heart and establish it in your life. How do you establish the Word in your life? When you make a habit of praying and reading God's Word it becomes more and more alive to you. When you choose to obey it, you are guarding and keeping the Truth. For example, the Bible says that love covers an offense. When you choose to walk in love even when someone has offended you, you are guarding the Truth. When you choose God's way, instead of the world's way, you are guarding the truth. Society has so many different ideas of what is right and acceptable. We have to always choose God's way. And when you choose God's way, you get God's results! God's results include a blessed and happy life. Start today by asking the Lord to show you His Truth by the power of His Spirit. As you keep the precious Truth of God's Word, you will be empowered to live the life of victory the Lord has in store for you!

A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Truth which sets me free. I invite you to search my heart and mind today and lead me in Your ways. I bless You today. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

We sure love you!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Eric and Rita - Be Strong in the Lord

Be Strong in the Lord
Today's Devotional Reading: Prov 28-29; Ps. 60; Rom. 16
June 4, 2010

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power" (Ephesians 6:10).

TODAY'S WORD

Everyone has times when they feel weak or discouraged in life. But you don't have to live that way! I didn't say you wouldn't have days, I said you don't have to live that way!!!! You can be strong in the Lord and in His power. You don't have to walk around defeated and depressed. You can have joy today! In fact, the Bible tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength. God's joy isn't based on circumstances. It isn't based on the news, the stock market or the housing economy. God's joy is based on Him. When you think about what He's done for you-that He's given you life, that He's cast your sins as far as the east is from the west-it really does change you! You can't help but have joy inside of you. That supernatural joy on the inside of you is supernatural strength. The enemy can't take away what God has given you deep on the inside. So put a smile on your face today and rejoice in the Lord no matter what battles you may be facing. The joy of the Lord will give you strength, and you'll live the life of victory God has promised you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, thank You for joy which strengthens! Thank you for empowering me today no matter what I may be facing. Fill my heart with Your supernatural joy so I can stand strong in all things. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

 We sure love you!
