Two Ways in Life CLICK on the Scripture above to link into your daily reading plan.
January 24, 2014
By reading the scripture above each day you will read the Old Testament through in one year and the New Testament through twice in a year. This will change your life. Start Today! |
| TODAY'S SCRIPTURE "Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord!" (Psalm 119:1)
TODAY'S WORD , there are two ways that we can live in life. There is the right way and the wrong way. We can take two paths in life: the narrow road that leads to life or the broad way that leads to destruction. There are also two foundations that we can build on: solid rock or sinking sand. The result of the choices we make concerning these things determines whether or not we will live the holy and happy life or the miserable and unholy life.
What comes to your mind when you think about that narrow way, the way of following Jesus Christ? Do you foresee misery and restrictions? Most nonbelievers and see the Christian life this way. They view Christianity as a list of all of the things they cannot do. No drinking. No smoking. No partying. No sex. In a nutshell, it seems like no fun. Sadly, that's still the view of so many today.
I was talking with a young man this week who believes this way.He feel that Christians live the most boring lives on the face of the earth. But of course your priorities change when you come to the other side of the fence. As Christians, we have found that the holy way, the godly way, the way of obedience is in reality the happy way.
That is what we find before us in Psalm 119:1, "Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord!" We find true happiness when we walk in the ways of the Lord.
A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY Hallelujah! The sun has risen again and it is morning! And I have awoken into it, alive, breathing, thinking, knowing that the Son will rise again and I will be saved. What did I do to deserve this day? It is a gift from you. Glory and praise to you, my God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, for filling me with life to live another day, for it is you who made me and not me myself. I resolve to spend this day in the presence of the Holy Spirit, filled with his joy and energy, that I might accomplish your will, my God, and do what I can to deserve the joys of the day, for I know my time here is short. Be with me, oh Holy Spirit, to fill me with the energy and positivity and comfort that only you can bring. In Christ's name I pray that your will be done, Amen. |
| , my your life be full of His blessings.
