By reading the scripture above each day you will read the Old Testament through in one year and the New Testament through twice in a year. This will change your life. Start Today!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
"So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while. These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure." (1 Peter 1:6-7)

TODAY'S WORD
, people tend to love green pastures. But we all cringe when we approach the mouth of some long valley that looms endlessly before us. We like sunshine and blue skies-not clouds and gloom.

As Christians, when we encounter difficult times, when we experience trials, when we suffer hardships, we might say, "Hold on now. I didn't sign up for this. I don't want hardships. I want to live on easy street." Sadly, when these times do come, some Christians will throw in the towel and return to their old life again.

But Christians must learn to respect the valleys in life. It's in the valleys that God reveals Himself in a special way. And it's in the valleys that we learn lessons of compassion that we can learn nowhere else.

As you walk through your own valleys, you may not understand why God has allowed them. But later on, you will be able to use the lessons you learned as a tool to minister to people struggling through similar valleys.

A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY

Father, I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you will. Whatever you may do, I thank you: I am ready for all, I accept all. Let only your will be done in me, and in all Your creatures - I wish no more than this, O Lord.

Into your hands I commend my soul; I offer it to you with all the love of my heart, for I love you Lord, and so need to give myself, to surrender myself into your hands, without reserve, and with boundless confidence,
For you are my Father. Amen

, my your life be full of His blessings.
