By reading the scripture above each day you will read the Old Testament through in one year and the New Testament through twice in a year. This will change your life. Start Today!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. (Hebrews 4:16, NLT).

TODAY'S WORD
, have you ever received an invitation in the mail to an event and at the bottom it tells you what type of attire? One time, Rita and I received an invitation to a special event at very wealthy person's home. I was so grateful that the invitation read "business casual attire" because knowing how to present ourselves made it so much easier to prepare for the event.

In our spiritual lives, we are invited to a very special event-the most important event of all time. We are invited to come into the presence of the King of kings and the Lord of lords; and with the invitation, He tells us how to present ourselves to Him. Hebrews 4:16 tells us that we are to come boldly to His throne of grace! He wants us to come confidently to Him and draw near to Him in full assurance knowing that He is good and that He rewards the people who seek after Him.

Sometimes we get our perspective off and think that God is displeased with us, so we shrink back from His presence. We become timid or shy or standoffish. We "put on" intimidation, low self-esteem or fear. But that's not the right attire for the occasion. We have to take off those wrong mindsets and let ourselves be cleansed by the blood of Jesus (1 John 1:9).

Today, I want you to look at the special invitation from your heavenly Father in the Word of God. He's not asking you to be perfect. He's not expecting you to say everything perfectly. He's looking at your confidence in Him-your faith. If you're in Christ Jesus today, God sees you as complete in Him. Come with boldness, come confidently and come into His presence because He is good and has good things in store for your future!

A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY

Father today I want to approach you with boldness. I love you with all that is inside of me. Help me to find the grace in this time and not have such a low-esteem or fear in my life. I surrender to you today. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

, we sure love and believe in you.
